From 1996 - 2014 Journey to Bethlehem was a staple in the Christmas festivities of many in this community. Journey to Bethlehem recreated the atmosphere of old Bethlehem at the time of Jesus' birth. In June 2015 someone set fire to the village burning many of the buildings and most of the props.
With the village in ruins, 2015 marked a change in our celebration of Christmas. Rebecca's Journey was an indoor, dramatic presentation of the Christmas story. It was told from the perspective of "Rebecca" who grew up in Nazareth. She journeyed to see the Christ child and in the process finally believed in Jesus as the Messiah.
There will be no Journey to Bethlehem in 2016. We are considering how best to use the space and how to use the space so it can be multi-functional. Stay tuned, we will keep you updated as we solidify our plans.
The Journeys
For over fifteen years we have shared two BIG events with our community; and they have always been FREE: no charge, no offering taken or donation asked.
Each spring Journey to the Cross helps over 2,000 people experience Jesus’ life, death and resurrection in a powerful, dramatic way.
This indoor experience tells the story of Jesus from His baptism, through His ministry, message and miracles, to His death on the Cross, and His resurrection.
The music will capture you, the scenes draw you in, and the message of what Jesus has done for each of us can change your life.
This is a one hour indoor event with limited seating. The doors open at 6:30 and the program starts at 7 PM.
The journey is FREE, the experience not to be missed.
